The reality is despite what other agents may tell you, a good agent should be confident they can achieve a result for you without taking your money upfront – after all you are paying them a commission for selling it.
The unfortunate truth is that many agencies, particularly franchises will use your money to promote themselves and their brand, and it is ingrained in their business practices. In most cases we will not ask you for any money upfront and will absorb marketing costs where possible. On some occasions (and only when deemed absolutely necessary) we may suggest additional marketing items but these will be dependent on your property and its target market, and whether this may assist in a more timely outcome or higher realization for you, which is our absolute aim.
